DUBAI – Flights between Baku and Dubai are set to resume this month, marking the return of a key regional air link after a temporary suspension earlier this year.
Azerbaijan’s national carrier, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), confirmed that services on the route will restart from May 15. The airline stated that flights will operate on a daily basis, restoring regular connectivity between the Azerbaijani capital and one of the Middle East’s busiest aviation hubs.
The announcement was made via the airline’s official social media channels, where it invited passengers to secure their seats through its website or mobile application. The resumption comes as part of broader efforts to reinstate routes impacted by geopolitical developments in the region.

Baku-Dubai flights
The Baku-Dubai route had been suspended on February 28, following the onset of military operations involving the United States and Israel against Iran. The developments led to disruptions across regional airspace, prompting several airlines, including AZAL, to halt selected services as a precautionary measure.
With conditions stabilising, the airline is now moving to restore operations, signalling renewed confidence in regional travel safety and demand.
